Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it.

It is written to meet our obligations under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it. If any part of it is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain language.

Who we are

This website is operated by HumanConnect Services (OPC) Private Limited, a company registered in India under CIN U62099UW2026OPC257229, with its registered office at B-218, Shree Krishna Greens, Chatikara Road, Vrindavan, Mathura 281121, Uttar Pradesh, India.

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy. You are the Data Principal.

What we collect

We collect only what you give us and the minimum our servers record automatically.

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, your organisation if you give one, your email address, your phone number if you give one, and whatever you write in the message. We also record the IP address the message was sent from, to help us deal with abuse of the form.

Our web server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, the pages requested, timestamps and browser identification. These are generated automatically by the server software and are used for security and troubleshooting.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, sensitive personal information such as financial account details, government identity numbers or health information through this form.

Why we collect it

We use the information you send through the contact form for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it, and to carry on the conversation that follows if there is one.

We use server logs to keep the site secure and working.

We do not use your information to build a profile of you, we do not use it for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.

Consent

When you submit the contact form you are giving us consent to process the information in it for the purpose described above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and we will stop processing and delete the data unless we are required by law to keep it.

Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We use service providers to run this website and our email, and your data is processed on their systems as part of that. These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

We may disclose personal data where we are required to by law, by a court, or by a government authority acting within its powers.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can pick up a thread if you come back to us. Where an enquiry leads to no engagement, we delete it once it is clearly no longer relevant.

Server logs are kept for a short period and then rotated away.

If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will, unless a law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we are processing it; to ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete, or to complete or update it; to ask us to erase it where we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it for; to nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to; and to complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve it.

To exercise any of these, email us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for it.

Complaints and grievances

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, write to us first at info@humanconnect-services.com with "Data grievance" in the subject line, and we will look into it and reply.

If we do not resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may take it to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies

This site sets two cookies, both of which are strictly necessary for it to work: a session cookie, and a security token that protects the contact form against forged submissions. They contain no personal information about you, expire after two hours, and are not used to track you.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third parties to place cookies through this site. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Enquiries are stored on a server we control, with access restricted to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect what you send us, and we will tell you and the Data Protection Board if a breach occurs that affects you.

Children

This site is intended for adults and for institutions. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Where our work involves students who are children, that is handled through the institution under a separate arrangement, not through this website.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change, and we will change the date at the top when we do. If a change materially affects how we handle data you have already given us, we will tell you directly.
